i used to walk along the coastline and watch the breakers rolling in i'd see the power of the whitecaps crushed on the tiny grains of sand crushed on the tiny grains of sand

that picture got my heart to thinking why do i rage and do i roar i shake my fists up to the heavens and come back crashing to the floor life brings my knees down to the floor

so i'll turn my heart around to the one who lifts me up to my knees and as an eagle i'm set free for when i'm weak He is strong in me

i've walked a lot of desert valleys never knowing how i'd gotten His arms were long enough to reach me if only my heart would reach to Him if only my heart would reach to Him

for i know that life can deal harshly with those who trust in who they are and we're never closer to forgiveness then when we know the sinners that we are when we know the sinners that we are
